HAPPY FULL MOON!

Are y’all feeling this Full Moon energy? If you’re finding yourself thinking about love this month, you’re on to something. This Full Moon energy runs right through the heart- with the Sun and Venus in Pisces and the Moon in Virgo, we are trying to understand love and the relationships that sustain us. The Virgo/Pisces axis represents knowing, with each sign approaching knowing from a different perspective. Pisces represents the kind of knowing that often cannot be described with words, its a feeling, intuition. Virgo represents the kind of knowing that requires sorting through, organizing and categorizing; the knowledge has to be grappled with in a tangible way, with words and numbers. You may lean more on intuition or analysis depending on depending on who you are and your life experiences. Wherever you fall on the spectrum, this Full Moon presents us with an opportunity to consider both sides of our relationships, to find some semblance of balance, which isn’t necessarily the same as equality. There are some situations in which tangible knowledge is needed, and others in which only your intuition or what you feel in your body can tell you what you need to know. We are presented with an opportunity to use knowledge and intuition to see our reality clearly, to discern fact from fiction and put things in their proper order.  Because this moon opposes Venus, this clarity is focused on relationships, inviting us to be (more) aware of how we relate to others and to tune in to what our bodies tell us our relationships. With Virgo & Pisces, boundaries are essential, and prevent us from getting lost in feelings or analysis. What is mine? What is yours? What is ours? What can we build together with love?

Capitalism wants us to order our relationships into hierarchies, to determine who matters and who does not. Interconnectedness invites us instead to consider our relationships in terms of how they sustain the community(ies) we exist in and between, how they nurture and sustain us and what we can build together with love.
