What’s up, Wildlings?! Praying you and your loved ones are safe and staying protected this spring.
This month’s Full Moon occurs in sidereal Libra, highlighting the Venus themes of partnership, relationships, balance and justice – particularly as they relate to creation and love. This past week, the Sun shifted in the sidereal zodiac from Pisces to Aries- progressing us from a season of sacrifice, attonement, transcendance, cleansing, releasing the emotions burdens that weigh us down or blur our vision to a season of individuation, action, asserting the will and exercising autonomy. In the words of the fiery poet Redman, “ITS TIME FOR SOME ACTION!” Libra is a cardinal sign and its energy is primed for initiating change. With this Full Moon, you may experience a deep desire to initiate change in your relationships or in how you relate to others.
Full moons occur when the sun and moon are in opposite positions in the sku, with the Sun shining directly on the moon, illuminating it in the night time sky. The Full Moon is a time of month when we are shown the results of our energy & efforts, when we see the reflection of the month’s activities in the world around us and our community. In the sign of Sidereal Libra, we are reflecting through the lens of intellectual and mental connections and relationships. The Full Moon in Libra is an opportunity to reflect on how our individual actions to assert ourselves impact our relationships -Are you being just? Are you fair in your relating patterns with others? Is there balance in your relationships or are your needs the sole focus? Are they rooted in love or ego? In the sign of sidereal Aries, ego can over assert iteself and lean towards domination. Libra reminds us that a balance is required. There must be a give and take to maintain the balance of life.

The Full Moon is squared by Pluto, dredging up some intense emotions and highlighting the extremes of the Aries-Libra dynamic. Pluto in Capricorn is a very heavy energy – dredging up the bones of our culture and exposing the barrenness of our society’s systems. Some of us have all of the accomplishments, possessions and wealth in the world and yet others are homelessness or trapped in generational poverty. Aries, ruled by Mars, can become arrogant and ruthless, leading to domination and manipulation to assert its will. Libra, ruled by Venus, can be too giving, sacrificing the self for the approval and social status of being liked by others. How fitting that Venus and Mars, who have been moving together in the sky, are finally separating from their conjunction in sidereal Aquarius. Venus and Mars together were joined in an effort to break away from the past and into the future, trying out new modes of being, forging a new identity. Now Venus is accelerating ahead of Mars, taking the lead as she races to catch up with Jupiter in sidereal Pisces. Venus can’t wait to get here, where Venus is Queen – expressing and attracting universal love. She’ll catch up to Jupiter in Pisces later this month and bring Neptune along – get ready to open your heart. Generosity will be the vibe with three planets in Pisces and Jupiter at home reminding us that all are welcome, there is more than enough to go around, if we honor our connection to each other.
Saturn, the planet of discipline, structure and rules, is also making a harmonious aspect to the Full Moon in Libra. Saturn is in its exaltation in Libra, reminding us that Libra isn’t just about charm, socializing and fancy shit- there are also rules to this love thing. Love is not just a feeling or a principle, it is a verb. If love is a game to you, Saturn keeps the score. There is actual work involved in loving someone, there are limits and boundaries, rules involved to clearly establish what love is and is not in terms of how we relate to other people. Saturn aspecting the Moon in Libra is dead serious about cooperation as the only way forward towards justice.

While Libra energy can prompt us to be more social, charming and flirtacious and to be more attuned to beauty, art, and fly shit, Libra can also be cold, efficient and exacting in the maintenance of balance. When wronged, a Libra (or person with prominent Libra placements) can cut you off before you even know what’s coming – especially if they feel you are being selfish, arrogant or brutish. If you find yourself getting cut off, blocked or disconnected from people and things that you love, perhaps you are operating too much on the Aries end of the spectrum. Pluto would like a word with you..

-Have you been clinging to a past that no longer exists? Do you have outdated ideas about women, love, care or justice?
-Do you place value on your relationships based on what they can do for you, and not the inherent worth of the people you are in relationship with?
Reflect on your you have been taking too much from your relationships, or neglecting to provide the emotional energy needed to sustain them: How can you restore the balance and make things right? What do you need to say? How can you invite more beauty, charm and love into your relationships? How can you be more just towards those you claim to love? What do you need to give back?

If you find that doors are opening and opportunities that you let rest are resurfacing, Pluto would also like a word with you…
-Have you been expecting others in your relationships to tend to your emotional needs too much/frequently? Have you been pushing people away with your neediness?
-How have you been exercising control over your emotions? Are you overly investing in others while neglecting to address your needs?
Reflect on how you can assert your needs and will more often. You have your relationships as a strong foundation, now what will you do to lead and show people who you really are and not just your emotions? How can you lead with love, charm and grace?

Libra, Aries, Cancer and Capricorn placements may experience this Full Moon as energizing and exciting – this is a change you can control! Make sure you are collaborating with others as you lead – there are other elements to the puzzle that you might be overlooking or ill equipped to address. Leave space for others to love you, teach you and support you. You don’t have to do it all.
Aquarius, Leo, Scorpio, Taurus may experience this Full Moon as scary – this is a change you didn’t prepare for. While its tempting to deny that changes are needed, don’t. This is not the first time you’ve heard you need to change (you may have had an inkling around April 9 when Mercury entered sidereal Aries) and this won’t be the last. The New Moon in Aries on the 30th is a prime opportunity; Use the next two weeks to get ready in tangible, practical ways so you can flow with the changes to come.
Gemini, Sagittarius, Virgo and Pisces don’t let fear or agitation paralyze you. Its not all in your head, this is real. Write it down, make some art and talk it over with your people. Express how you feel about the change in your unique way and share it with others. You may feel the changes coming more than you can visualize them and you may not know what to do. Tap into something bigger than you to help guide your first steps – your gut instincts and intuition will tell you exactly what to do.
Venus rules the sign of Libra – and we are receiving Venus’ message of love as an antidote to balance out the extremes of wealth inequality, war and violence (Mars) – enacted by our systems of power (Pluto). Love is the message. Tune in.
With Love,
Brandi Janaan
